#Independent Web
I frequently look for alternatives to large commercial platforms and closed social media ecosystems. I’m in particular interested in open standards, decentralized networks, and publishing under one’s own control rather than behind corporate walls. Whenever I explore a new tool, service, or approach that supports these goals, I write about it here. This includes practical guides for setting up personal websites, using federated social networks, RSS based publishing, self hosted services in general, and integrating various independent services into a coherent online presence. The emphasis lies on openness, long term accessibility, and the idea of the web as a network for unfiltered exchange rather than a collection of gated platforms.
