I’m Fabrizio Musacchio and I work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Neuroimmunology and Imaging group at the DZNE Research Center in Bonn, Germany.

My work focuses on the analysis of neurological data to better understand the neuronal processes related to the Hippocampus, especially memory and learning and neurodegenerative diseases. This covers the analysis of multi-fluorescence ex- and in-vivo imaging data as well as conducting behavioral experiments, incorporating machine learning to decipher underlying patterns and dynamics within the data.

Research interests

  • Computational Neuroscience, especially neuronal plasticity and processes that drive learning
  • Behavioral Science
  • Bioimage Analysis
  • Machine Learning
  • Teaching
  • Open Science and Free Open Source Software
