The ‘Neuroscience’ tag within Weekend Stories brings together articles where my interest in history, culture, religion, museums, and literature happens to intersect with ideas from my scientific work in brain research. These connections are rarely intentional, but do also not emerge entirely by chance. As I reflect on topics such as Buddhism, perception, memory, or notions of the self, parallels to neuroscience emerge almost inevitably.

Unlike the technical focus of my main blog, these posts approach brain-related topics from within broader contexts: how do contemplative traditions conceptualize mental processes? What can historical perspectives on mind and consciousness teach us about current scientific debates? Or about our conception of oneself? How is neuroscience used — or misused — in public discourse? This tag gathers such entries not to popularize science, but to reflect on its cultural relevance and its place in a larger intellectual landscape.
