Chinese culture represents one of the most continuous and complex cultural lineages in human history, shaped by deep philosophical reflection, rich literary traditions, artistic innovation, and religious transformation. At the heart of this development lies the enduring influence of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism — three systems that shaped ethics, governance, metaphysics, and everyday life in profoundly interconnected ways. From the Daoist notions of natural flow (ziran) and non-action (wu wei) to the Confucian ideals of filial piety and social harmony, Chinese thought has fostered a unique worldview grounded in relationality, moral cultivation, and cosmological balance.

In my posts, I explore Chinese culture through its religious-philosophical dimensions, its role in transmitting and transforming Buddhism — especially through the Chán/Zen lineage — and its contributions to global knowledge, such as medicine, printing, and cosmology. My interest lies in how classical ideas and practices continue to shape modern identities, and how China, as a civilizational force, has interacted with surrounding cultures and traditions, leaving an indelible mark on East Asian thought and beyond.
