I have come to know Buddhism as one of the most enduring and adaptable traditions in human history — a path of philosophical inquiry, ethical practice, and spiritual cultivation that originated in ancient India and spread across much of Asia and, eventually, the modern world. At its core lie the insights of impermanence, non-self, and interdependence, embedded in frameworks like the Four Noble Truths, dependent origination, and the Eightfold Path. These teachings have taken diverse forms, from early monastic communities to Zen’s radical simplicity and Vajrayāna’s esoteric symbolism.
In my posts, I explore Buddhism as both historical phenomenon and living tradition — one that has shaped cultures, art, institutions, and ideas across centuries. I’m particularly interested in its philosophical depth, its transmission and reform, and its resonance with modern disciplines such as neuroscience, ethics, and ecology. My aim is not to treat Buddhism as a fixed doctrine, but to understand it as a dynamic tradition that continues to address fundamental human questions.
